A fan recreated a map of England in a similar art style, inspired by the Outland region of World of Warcraft's The Burning Crusade Classic.
Back in 2004, Blizzard released World of Warcraft. Since then, a large number of fans have created related art designs. Now, a fan has Buy TBC Classic Gold decided to recreate various maps in the real world in the same style as TBC's Expedition Outland map.
This Reddit user has created some WOW-inspired maps, starting with the Australian map. The latest map, which focuses on England, includes key locations in the UK, including places like Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and Stonehenge. Like cities like Stormwind and Ironforge in World of Warcraft, London is illustrated by the large monument of Big Ben. Secondary locations are highlighted with corresponding landmarks, while other areas are designed to resemble World of Warcraft outposts in Outland.
The English countryside is displayed in the art style of World of Warcraft, as you can see on this map, stretching from England's central road to the east coast. Some areas of England are not represented, otherwise, it could be more confusing than the map in World of Warcraft.
The player also previously created a map of the Great Lakes that Canada shares with the United States, Sicily and Veneto. It's not clear why he chose to recreate the World of Warcraft Outland map design in a different place around the world, but it's still an interesting thing. These maps look really good.
