Nike continues to celebrate New York’s streetball scene with this special edition Nike Dunk Low NY vs NY for the summer months. The Dunk Low comes in olive green with white tumbled leather overlays to contrast. With Air Max 270,the Jordan Point Lane has been receiving quite a bit of buzz for its homage colorways. And while novel in that respect, it seems many have forgotten the Jordan 6 Rings whose past releases have done much of the same for much longer. Here, the silhouette even honors a lesser celebrated icon: the “Last Shot” scheme. While primarily reminiscent of the AJ11, the 6 Rings still holds a bit of AJ14 DNA. And with this new makeover, it better leverages this heritage, adding to the upper a palette identical to the 14’s own “Last Shot” appearance.
Looking closer, the Jordan 6 Rings Last Shot comes dressed in a Black, University Red, and Dark Sulfur color combination. Black shades dress throughout the upper, both atop the thick mesh base as well as the suedes of the mudguards below. Straps, laces, and toggles follow suit, but not the plastic eyelet whose pop of yellow mirrors the branded emblem of the aforementioned. Elsewhere, the nods come full circle with hits of red Jumpman and text branding.
